Elon Musk’s joke spree continued as he teased Democratic New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for criticizing his Twitter purchase.
Following his announcement of buying social media site Twitter for $44 billion, the Tesla CEO has become sort of a comedian with a series of laughable tweets referencing his controversial purchase. Some, including Ocasio-Cortez, don’t find Musk’s quips amusing.
On Friday, Ocasio-Cortez aired her frustrations toward billionaires and apparently took a jab at Musk for buying the “massive communication platform.”
“Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening because some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
The multibillionaire responded by teasing her, telling the New Yorker, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.” Musk included a blushing emoji to seal the deal.

Ocasio-Cortez responded to Musk, saying, “I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok,” then deleted the tweet right after, according to ProPublica’s website that tracks deleted tweets from politicians.
Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz egged on the interaction, retweeting the spat with a host of “fire” emojis.
Earlier in the week, Musk began his Twitter antics and has since gained over 2.5 million followers, according to social media tracker website Social Blade.

Musk joked about buying another mega-corporation to add to his inventory.
“Next I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in,” Musk wrote late Wednesday.
The joke tweet has now gained over 4.6 million likes and 860,000 retweets. Newsweek fact-checked Musk’s claim and discovered that the original recipe for Coca-Cola did have a form of cocaine in the drink.
In his joke flurry, Musk also mentioned a fake tweet that looks like it came from his account.
“Now I’m going to buy McDonald’s and fix all of the ice cream machines,” the tweet read.
Although that tweet wasn’t made by Musk, he retweeted a screenshot of the fake tweet, saying, “Listen, I can’t do miracles ok.”
Musk said he wanted to “make Twitter maximum fun.”
