At many stores, Friday is the last chance to pick up Black Friday deals.
While Black Friday sales have been going on throughout November with early sales starting before Halloween, the official shopping extravaganza has arrived.
Stores open early – Walmart, Best Buy, Old Navy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, JCPenney and Kohl’s – are first with 5 a.m. openings. Then there is a wave at 6 a.m. when Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy’s, Home Depot and Lowe’s open.
Target, Belk, GameStop and HomeGoods are among the retailers opening at 7 a.m. Hours can vary by location. Some stores will continue sales throughout the weekend ahead of Cyber Monday.

Amid the pandemic and before COVID-19 vaccines were available, last year’s Black Friday was considered the quietest in decades. But more shoppers are expected to show up in stores Friday.
According to the National Retail Federation’s annual survey, 64% are expected to shop in stores Friday compared to 51% last year.
With inflation at a 31-year high and supply chain disruptions, consumers have started shopping earlier than in past years. However, they are finding fewer deals and fewer items are available.
