If you have a Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, or Sprite product in your fridge, you might want to double-check their batch codes as the brands have been subject to two recalls recently.
According to the Food Safety Network, the products were recalled due to the presence of foreign metal objects.
The Coca-Cola Company recalled three Minute Maid products that were distributed in multiple states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maine, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The most recent recall applies to Minute Maid Berry Punch, Fruit Punch, and Strawberry Lemonade in 59-ounce cartons.
Although the recall began in November, the expiration date on the products extended into 2022, meaning that there is still a chance that some consumers may have the affected products in their homes.
The following Minute Maid products with their batch codes are subject to recall:
- Berry Punch – Date codes Jan0422 NP and Jan0522 NP, Batch 0010323455 and 0010259344 (recall F-0276-2022)
- Strawberry Lemonade – Date code: Jan0322 NP, Batch: 0010259346 (recall F-0277-2022)
- Fruit Punch – Date Code: JAN0522 NP Batch: 0010323454 (recall F-0278-2022)
The Minute Maid products were not the only products to be recalled by Coca-Cola recently.
Certain Coca-Cola and Sprite 12-ounce cans are also subject to recall due to the possible presence of foreign matter, according to Commissaries.
The following Coca-Cola and Sprite products with their batch codes are subject to recall:
- Coca-Cola 12 ounce cans: Date Code: AUG 1522 WM B
- Coca-Cola 12 ounce cans: Date Code: AUG 1522 WM C
- Sprite 12 ounce cans: Date Code: AUG 1522 WM B
The Coca-Cola and Sprite products were distributed in southeastern states.
Customers are being advised to throw away or return the affected products listed in each of the recalls.
Consumers with questions about the recall should call The Coca-Cola Company’s Consumer Interaction Center at 1-800-GET-COKE (800-438-2653).
