The COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on restaurants, and with cases rising again, some are making the tough choice to close their doors during a busy time of the year.Patty B’s in Dover just celebrated its 10th anniversary at the start of December. Co-owners Bob and Patty Barish said that after two staff members tested positive for COVID-19, followed by two more and then two more, they chose to close for about a week.The restaurant is selling some products ready to go into the oven, such as lasagna, but the Barishes said the closure will mean a loss of revenue. They said they made a tough choice to protect their staff and customers.”We’ve got nothing but positive feedback,” Bob Barish said.They said the recent recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to reduce isolation restrictions for those who catch COVID-19 helped with their decision.
