CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — The same cancellation and delay problems that have haunted holiday travelers over the past two weeks continue as the holiday season quickly winds to a close.
Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport issued an advisory for anyone traveling through “The World’s Busiest Airport” on Sunday hoping to warn people both arriving and departing to pack their patience and be ready for a long wait.

Channel 2′s Elizabeth Rawlins is at the airport Sunday morning and says roughly 100 flights both leaving and departing the airport have been cancelled and about 40 have been delayed.
Rawlins said nationally over 1,900 flights have been canceled Sunday.

Rawlins spoke to Bernell Lewis who is one traveler already impacted by a cancellation.
“When I got here, they told me it got cancelled, so they gave me a reimbursement so that I can rebook another one for tonight,” Lewis said.
Jay Paul Smith was trying to catch a flight to Orlando before flying on to Costa Rica.
“We woke up at three in the morning and kept getting delayed. And we still don’t have a flight,” said Smith.
