NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – A Walmart location in Northwest Miami-Dade has temporarily closed for cleaning.
The Walmart store near the area of Northwest 32nd Avenue and 79th Street, closed its doors at around 2 p.m. on Saturday to allow crews time to thoroughly clean and sanitize the building.
The closure comes after another Walmart location in Northwest Miami-Dade was closed for a few days to allow crews to thoroughly sanitize it. This store reopened on Friday.
According to a statement from the company, they chose to temporarily close the store on Northwest 79th Street as part of an effort to keep customers and employees safe during the pandemic following the recent increase in COVID-19 cases.
The location on Northwest 79th Street will be closed through Sunday and is set to reopen to customers on Monday.
