Plans submitted to the Louisville Metro Government show the store will take approximately 150,000 square feet and is tentatively planned to open in 2023.Hy-Vee, based in Des Moines, Iowa, recently announced an expansion into four new states including Kentucky, its first since 2009. One new store will open in Louisville, with additional stores in Huntsville, Alabama; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Nashville, Knoxville and Memphis, Tennessee. The company will introduce seven new stores in 2023.The company employs over 93,000 people in more than 285 stores.
