MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A mechanical issue forced a Sun County flight heading to Montego Bay to turn around and land back in Minneapolis on Saturday morning.
The flight departed from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 8:47 a.m. but landed back in the Twin Cities after an hour and a half in the air.
Director of Communications at MSP Airport Patrick Hogan says the sensor on the plane was not working correctly.
A Sun Country spokesperson says the flight was rescheduled to depart at 2 p.m. Passengers were offered meal vouchers.
