DETROIT, MI — General Motors recalled more than 680,000 compact SUVs this week due to malfunctioning windshield wipers, the Associated Press reported.
The recall covers 682,000 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles from the 2014 and 2015 model years, AP said. The recall is needed because ball joints in the wiper module can rust causing one or both wipers to fail.
Owners will be notified by letter starting May 2.
