U.S. stocks swung between gains and losses on Wednesday, with the major indexes recently clawing back some of their declines.
The S&P 500 was recently ahead 0.4%. The benchmark gauge lost 1.8% Tuesday, its second decline in three trading days. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index added 0.4% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.3%.
