(WKBN) – Thousands of people woke up Friday morning without power in the Valley.
Power is being restored for thousands in Mercer, Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties.
The number of customers without service continues to decrease through Thursday morning. A few hundred outages are still being reported in Mahoning and Columbiana counties. Trumbull County is reporting 600 as of 10 a.m.
There are 805 customers currently without service in Mercer County.
Most service is expected to be restored today, however, according to First Energy, it could be longer in some areas including Mercer and Columbiana counties.
Restoration times vary and can be found on First Energy’s website. Weather is the cause for many of the outages.
