Power has been restored to nearly 17,000 SMUD customers in Sacramento after a car crash on Sunday, authorities said.Power was knocked out Sunday afternoon on Fruitridge Road from 65th Street to Freeport and Folsom Boulevard, and from Fruitridge Road to 47th Avenue, the Sacramento Police Department said. At the peak of the outage, there were 16,592 customers without power, according to SMUD’s outage map. As of 7:20 p.m., about 436 customers remain without power. By Monday morning, the map did not show any outages. It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the car crash.
