A Hueytown fast-food restaurant employee is behind bars after police said the worker threw hot grease on a customer.
The incident happened about 3:15 p.m. Saturday at Arby’s, police said. Officers responded to the restaurant on a report of an altercation and arrived to find the drive-thru customer suffering from burns.
Hueytown Fire and Rescue provided medical treatment and then transported the victim to UAB Hospital. A condition has not been released.
No one else was injured.
The employee was taken into custody at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
