Electric vehicle start-up Lucid put quite a feather in its cap on Monday, making history by snagging a top award in the auto industry. Investors aren’t all that impressed, though.
Lucid’s luxury sedan, the Air, is MotorTrend magazine’s 2022 Car of the Year, beating out the likes of the Porsche Taycan and Mercedes EQS. The award is the first for a new product—the top-of-the-line Air, the Dream, just started shipping—from a new automotive brand.
