Domino’s is paying customers not to order delivery – NJ.com

Domino’s is running a promotion to curb customers from ordering delivery.

The pizza chain giant this week began offering $3 as an incentive to order online carryout.

The $3 “tip” will be credited to customers and can be used on a future online carryout order. Customers must place the order online and choose the carryout option to receive the credit.

The promotion will run through May 22.

Domino’s is facing a labor shortage, like many other restaurants and businesses across the country. The labor shortage largely has been linked to a wage shortage.

Inflation also has hurt Domino’s, which recently changed its chicken wings deal by cutting the number per order from 10 to eight.

There are currently over 100 Domino’s locations in New Jersey and over 6,400 spots nationwide.
