MTA cleaner assaulted with own dust pan during feud at NYC subway station – New York Post

An MTA cleaner was punched and struck with his own dust pan during a feud with a man inside a Manhattan subway station on Sunday night, police said.

The 51-year-old victim was assaulted during the dispute over a subway fare at the Delancey-Essex station on the Lower East Side at about 9:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.

After socking the worker in the face, the suspect took the man’s standing dust pan and used it to whack him in the left shoulder, cops said.

The victim fell to the platform near the emergency gate of the F train platform. He was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered serious, police said.

The suspect fled the scene after the attack and was on the loose early Monday.
